Swing into action to empower youth annual Golf Day on September 22

The Anglican Men’s Guild invites local businesses, community members and philanthropists to join this worthy cause.

The Anglican Men’s Guild in the Diocese of Highveld will host its annual golf day on September 22 at the ERPM Golf Club in Boksburg.

The church based in Boksburg, Benoni and the surroundings aims to raise funds for the Young Eagles programme, which empowers young boys aged 10 to 24 and addresses critical social challenges affecting them.

The Young Eagles programme tackles pervasive issues like teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, bullying and school drop-out rates.

The programme seeks to guide these young boys towards becoming responsible and respectful men of substance by instilling Christian family values and essential life skills.

Currently, the programme supports 120 boys across 14 parishes, from East Gauteng to Ermelo in Mpumalanga.

The funds raised during the golf day will allow the continuation and expansion of various workshops and activities that aim to foster personal development and resilience among participants.

The Golf Day will feature several sponsorship packages to encourage community involvement:

• Platinum package (R20 000): Includes two 4-ball entries, guest invitations to the prize-giving dinner, prominent advertising opportunities and a presentation slot at the event.

• Gold package (R10 000): Offers one 4-ball entry and advertising at a designated hole.

Silver package (R5 000): Provides one 4-ball entry and advertising at a hole.

Individual golfers can participate for R500, while a 4-ball team can register for R2 000. Non-golfers are welcome to support the event for R200 per person, which includes dinner and prizes.
