She also plays netball, hockey, and soccer and is a former gymnastic medal winner with Germiston Gymnastics Club.

She is pursuing her blue belt (gokyu) and has a green belt (rokyu).

Her mother, Togo Hlongwane, said she is proud of her daughter’s achievements.

“From a young age, she was always active, thus she excels in sports. I used to play netball and athletics, so I think she got the athletic gift from me,” said Hlongwane.

Hlongwane said that although Sinenhlanhla excelled in gymnastics, she had to give it up because of Covid-19.

“She received a few awards for gymnastics. She has won accolades in every sport she participated in,” said Hlongwane.
