Germiston Callies to host honourary event on October 16
The event honours Morrison, known as ‘the father of Callies’, a top runner and a contemporary of Wally Hayward and Jackie Mekler.
Germiston Callies will host the Fred Morrison 10km and 21km races on October 16 at the Germiston Stadium.
The event honours Morrison, known as ‘the father of Callies’, a top runner and a contemporary of Wally Hayward and Jackie Mekler.
He was the chairperson of Callies for years.

Race numbers can be collected at the Callies offices, Germiston Stadium, on October 15 between 09:00 and 13:00 or on the day of the race from 05:30 at the kiosk.
The races start at 06:30.
