Local cricket team needs sponsorship

The team has qualified for the Last Man Stands World Championships.

Bedfordviewā€™s amateur cricket team Rising Challengers have achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying for the prestigious Last Man Stands World Championships.

The event will be held in Cape Town starting from December 9 to 17.

The team needs sponsorship. A unique opportunity exists for companies to acquire the advertising rights to their playing kit.

Team member Troye Herwill said, ā€œThe championship is a pinnacle event in amateur cricket, attracting teams from all corners of the world.

The Rising Challengers’ qualification for this event is a testament to their dedication and skill in the sport.

ā€œAs an amateur team, we are facing the financial challenge of raising R150 000 to cover entrance fees, accommodation, and travel expenses.ā€

In preparation for the tournament, the team will be hosting a series of fundraising events starting with the golf day on October 27 at the Crown Mines Golf Club.

On October 21 and 22, they will host the T10 Big Bash Fundraiser at Dawnview High School.

The registration will start at 07:30 and the entry fee is R100 per team.

There are also raffles with exciting prizes to be won.
