Burning Stars win local tournament

“We want to enlist the help of the community and local businesses.”

Primrose bustled with sports when the Primrose Sports Academy held its annual sports tournament.

Burning Stars FC won the U13 Primrose Sports Academy soccer event.

The problem, he noted, was in organising the competition without financial assistance.

With seven teams contending for the top spot, the victors were rewarded with gold medals and a trophy, while the runners-up received silver medals.

Doctor Motsoeneng, the event organiser, congratulated Stars on their triumph and conveyed his vision of the event.

“Through sport and wellness, the academy aims to develop and positively impact the lives of youth from previously disadvantaged areas,” said Motsoeneng.

The problem, he noted, was in organising the competition without financial assistance.

“We would like to host a tournament for ages 15 and 17.

“We have a lot of raw talent, but the problem is we don’t have sponsors, scouts, or professional aid,” said Motsoeneng.

“We want to enlist the help of the community and local businesses,” said Motsoeneng.
