The Wolwe fought hard and showed character to fend off a massive onslaught from the Edenvale Panthers.

With some “older Wolwe” returning to the pack, the spirit and brotherhood in the Wolwe camp are electric, and the team is excited and hopeful for the season ahead.

The second team suffered a 15-10 defeat, with tries scored by Michael Ndlovu, and James Nengenmasha.

Tries were scored by Chris Kasselman, Quinton Fincham, Shaun van den Berg and Henco “Pottie” Potgieter, with Pottie converting two of the tries.

Man of the match performance by newly appointed club captain George Killian gave good rhythm for the forward pack, which gave plenty of opportunity for the backs to get the bonus point on the board.
