Primrose Masters FC lost 4-2 to Elsburg Masters FC on October 25 at Oak Stadium in Primrose East.

Primrose Masters captain Mmolo Boshielo said the match went well.

He said Primrose’s goalkeeper was not available on the day and kit manager Bakang Melodi was called to step in.

“Bakang played well even though we lost the game,” said Boshielo.

Thabang Nawa and Peter Ramodike scored for Primrose Masters FC and Thabang was the Man of the Match.

“He played very well and he was linking well with our strikers Senzo Ndakeni and Wonder Nkosi.”

Boshielo added he did not play in the match due to an injury he had.

Primrose Masters coach Sello Matseletsele said the game was tough.

“We dominated the first half and the second half was dominated by the opponents.

“Several players still need to improve on their fitness levels following the hard lockdown but they are coming along very well.

“The hot weather also played a role in the poor performance of the players.”

The captain added how lockdown affected the Primrose Masters players.

“Most of our regular players were not present. Fans are also not allowed to attend the game, like before, due to lockdown regulations.”
