Club member comes to the aid of caddies

The Germiston Golf Club are deeply mindful of the precarious situation in which South Africa finds itself due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Life has certainly not been easy for many as unemployment, business failure, anxiety and loss of loved ones continue to grow in the country.

The caddies from the Germiston Golf Club were thrilled when club member Alex Maditsi (left) gave them financial aid last Saturday to help them get through the next few weeks. With Maditsi on the day of the handover are Rodney Hendry (club captain) and Eugene Liebenberg (golf director).

In times like these it is extremely heart-warming to see that there are generous souls out there who go out of their way to help others.

One of these generous souls is Germiston Golf Club member Alex Maditsi who gave all the caddies at the club financial aid last Saturday.

The club also thanks GolfRSA, which not only helped the club’s caddies, but all caddies in South Africa with shopping vouchers in May to help them put food on the table for their families.

“We appreciate the efforts of both Alex Maditsi and GolfRSA for their generous contributions,” said the club.
