After powering their way through and winning the Kestrel League in 2019, Elsburg Rugby Club will be taking part in the Merlin League.
The league, which still falls under the Valke Rugby Union, is open to clubs who have proven themselves in the Kestrel League.
“Clubs also have to field three teams, namely a senior, second and u-21 team,” explained head coach Mario Jordaan.

The club has begun preparing for the new season and practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm at their home grounds, the Elspark Sports Complex, situated on the corner of Heidelberg Road and Egret Street, Elspark.
New and old players are invited to come and join the team.
