Raptors welcome international guests
Teams prepare for African Games with preparation tournament.
The Raptors Wrestling Club welcomed several international and local guests to the club in Oak Avenue in Primrose recently.

“The Raptors Wrestling Club had the honour of co-hosting a tournament recently,” explained head coach Dewald de Wet.
“The tournament was arranged by the South African Wrestling Federation to help prepare the Namibian Wrestling Team for the African Games.
“Teams from South Africa, Namibia and a team from Oregon in the United States of America competed in the event.”
Wrestlers competed in various styles, including Greco Roman and freestyle wrestling.

“After the event, the Namibian team stayed and held some practice sessions at the club before returning home,” said de Wet.
