The first teams’ clash was won by the home team despite their lax approach to the game in the opening minutes.

The club’s slow pace led to an early goal by Linhill.

The goal rattled the home team and seemed to give them the push they needed as they scored two goals, by Cebo Bidi and Sibusiso Mdluli, in rapid succession.

After the half-time break and a stern talk from their coach, Marco de Graca, Luso held nothing back, scoring a further five goals before the final whistle.

The half’s goals were scored by Bidi, Malibongwe Tsembeyi and Liam Jordaan.

The visiting team was able to add a second goal to their tally before the match came to an end, but it wasn’t enough.

Luso celebrated a 7-2 victory.

The reserve team’s match started with the same slow unmotivated pace as the first team’s match had.

The home team was the first to put a point on the scoreboard with a goal from Mario Ferreira.

This was soon followed by a goal from Balin Benissan.

In the lead heading into the second half, Luso confidently added two more goals to their tally, with goals from Benissan and Jordaan.

These goals secured them a 4-0 victory.
