Tournament a slam dunk

The Germiston Basketball Club held a successful Ekurhuleni 3x3 Basketball Tournament at the Germiston Stadium last Saturday.

Basketball players came from far and wide to take part in Germiston Basketball Club’s second Ekurhuleni 3×3 Basketball Tournament last Saturday.

“The tournament’s less formal playing format allows players to be more creative on the court and display their individual brilliance.

“We were impressed by the number of new participants who arrived on Saturday,” explained coach Seaparo Ramaube on behalf of the Germiston Basketball Club.

Sixteen teams from across Ekurhuleni participated in the event held at the Germiston Stadium, including the defending champions from Kempton Park.

“We were pleased to introduce a girls’ division and look forward to more local teams and especially school teams participating in future events,” Ramaube said.
