Luso Africa Football Club’s women’s team continued their Women’s Sasol League run with an away match win against NWU Vaal FC.

The tough first half saw the team down 0-1 for most of the half, after an unfortunate deflected own goal, but moments before the half-time whistle Pride Nthite scored a goal for Luso, leaving the score tied at 1-1 heading into the break.
With the scores tied for most of the second half, it looked like the teams might have to share the points, but Luso’s
Taylor Labuschagne scored a fantastic goal with 10 minutes on the clock to push the visiting club into the lead.

Goalkeeper Yolanda Mphandle helped seal the victory for the team, and the three league points, with a critical save in the final minute of the game.
The club will face Blue Birds FC in their next fixture.
