Elsburg continue their winning streak

Elsburg Rugby Club travelled to Benoni for their Kestrel League fixture against Daveyton Rugby Club.

Elsburg hoped to make it four wins from four matches when they travelled to Benoni last Saturday to face Daveyton Rugby Club.

The match, their fourth in the Kestral League, was played at Noorderlig Gekombineerde Skool.

Elsburg dominated the fast-paced match from the first whistle, beating back resistance to power their way to a half-time score of 47-0.

Elsburg’s first-half tries were scored by Riaan van der Westhuizen, Daniel Matthee, Steven Venter, Marinus van Vuuren and Rudie Wessels, who also scored the team’s conversions.

The second half went much the same way as the first, with Elsburg powering their way through the match to secure an 80-0 victory.

The team’s second-half tries were scored by Juan Barnardt, Willem van der Heever and van der Westhuizen, with Wessels and Zander Smith scoring the half’s conversions.

The club will next face Heidelberg Rugby Club in a home match.
