Championship boxing titles on the line at the Big Top Arena

Witness the thrill of top boxers in action.

Carnival City will stage the highly anticipated Making a Champ (MAC) Boxing Series on December 7.

Some of the cream of the crop in boxing will descend on the Big Top Arena for an action-packed fight night.

Venturing to South African shores for the event are American Shawn Simpson and his coach, former light heavyweight champion Montel Griffin.

The event takes place in the same arena where the likes of American heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman knocked out the heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, leading him to take the heavyweight title 17 years ago.

The WBC and ABU World Title Championships will be up for grabs at this event.

The WBC Silver International Flyweight title will be between Jackson Chauke (SA) and Alfred Muwowo from Zambia.

The full bout list will be communicated closer to the event.

“Carnival City has a proud history of bringing some of the biggest and best boxing, wrestling and extreme sporting events to Ekurhuleni.

“We are thrilled to be part of bringing this exciting boxing series to the Big Top Arena again.

“With championship title fights on the cards, it promises to be nail-biting for boxing fans,” said Michelle Smith, marketing manager for Carnival City.
