Jeffrey Beattie, who trains at Unique Physique Gym, was recently awarded the Run/Walk For Life awards for Most Improved and Walker of the Year.
Beattie and his gym coach Marius Wessels have been working hard to build his fitness and strength for the races.
He has achieved 38 certificates and 18 medals since he started walking in 2014.
His coach and members at the gym are proud of his achievements.
