It seemed that Luso had taken early control of the game, however, they failed to build on their lead and soon conceded a goal after a relentless Robertsham onslaught.

The teams headed into half-time 1-1.

The break and the coach’s half-time pep talk rejuvenated the Luso team and they worked hard from the first whistle of the second half to score another goal.

Though the side kept missing opportunities, their tenacity was rewarded when Nathen Nel scored the side’s second goal of the match, followed by another just before the final whistle.

Robertsham was unable to respond and the match ended in Luso’s favour.

Luso’s second team started out their match just as well as the first team keeping possession, looking strong and maintaining control of the game.

Their dominance was rewarded with a goal from Nuno De Sousa.

Robertsham had a chance to equalise but didn’t take it and instead, De Sousa scored the second goal of the match before the half-time whistle.

The second half was much of the same with De Sousa scoring his hat-trick and Mario Ferreira scoring the team’s fourth goal leading to a 4-0 victory for the team.

The results ensure that both teams progress to the next round.
