Msomi named as a world champion in full contact karate

Kyokushin Karate Club can boast a world champion in their midst.

For sensei Mbali Msomi it has always been a dream to become a world champion in full contact karate.

When she started training at Kyokushin Karate Club in Katlehong in 2006 she never thought that one day her dream would be realised and she would represent South Africa and become a world champion.

But this has, in fact, happened after she came first in her division at the recent IKKF-World Karate Championships Baku Azerbaijan 2018.

Msomi is a second Dan black belt and belongs to the International Kyokushin Karate Federation (IKKF).

She is currently a senior instructor at Kyokushin Karate Club.
