Luso Africa draw against Zwide FC

Luso Africa FC hosted Zwide Football Club in their Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League fixture, last Saturday.

Luso Africa FC is still comfortable at the top of the Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League.

Their position atop the log was not threatened after the club drew 0-0 with Zwide Football Club in a home match at Hattingh Park, last Saturday.

Despite the fact that the first team remains undefeated this season, they did not produce one of their best performances.

The team struggled throughout the match to take advantage of the chances at goal that were created.

Luso’s defence were on top of their game, however, and managed to keep Zwide at bay.

This meant that neither team found the back of the net during their 90 minutes on the field.

Luso’s second team’s campaign was far more successful.

The team beat their Zwide counterparts 5-1 even after struggling to find their feet in the first half and allowing Zwide to score a goal midway through the first half.

This goal seemed to be the wake-up call the team needed and they were able to equalise before heading into half-time with a goal from Albert Mthapo.

The second half went much better for the home side with Mothapo scoring two more goals to complete his hat-trick and Mphikeleli Mbatha scoring two goals of his own to bring the final score to 5-1.

The team will face Kempton Park Football Club in an away match this Saturday.
