Luso power to top of the log

Luso Africa FC took on newcomers to the Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League Linhill Celtic Football Club last Saturday.

Luso Africa FC are sitting comfortably at the top of the Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League log after a win against the Linhill Celtic Football Club.

The match was played at Luso’s home ground, Hattingh Park, last Saturday, with the home team winning the match 2-0.

The first teams took to the field, with the home team showing their dominance from the start.

But despite Leandro De Abreu opening the scoring early, Luso struggled to hold onto their form and seemed to lose control of the game, lacking possession of the ball.

Luso’s defence was on high alert and had a lot of work to do as the team continued to give the ball away cheaply.

Their hard work paid off as the visitors were unable to turn their possession into goals.

Heading into the second half Luso seemed to continue to fall short, despite their clear desire to win.

With only 10 minutes on the clock, the home side made two changes.

This seemed to be just what the doctor ordered and the team were rewarded with a second goal from de Abreu, cementing their 2-0 victory.

The second team was very successful in their match, winning 5-0.

The team were able to keep possession of the ball well from the first whistle and were rewarded for their efforts with an early goal from Michael Lume.

Nuno de Sousa soon doubled the lead before Lume completed his hat-trick before half-time.

Linhill didn’t seem to stand a chance against the dominating Luso team and Fernando de Rocha was able to clinch the fifth goal for the team before the final whistle.

The club will travel to Alberton for their next fixture against the Alberton Football Club.
