President‘s League win for Germiston

The Germiston City Cricket Club won their Easterns Cricket League match this weekend.

After rain called off the Germiston City Cricket Club’s Saturday Second League home match against Tembisa Cricket Club, the team travelled to Benoni for their Sunday President’s League match.

The club faced Actonville Cricket Club, who won the toss and elected to bat first.

They were able to knock up a total of 162 runs.

Germiston chased down and beat the total in 32 overs with six wickets in hand.

This weekend the club will face Kwa-Thema Cricket Club in a Sunday Promotion League match and Kempton Park Cricket Club in a Sunday Executive League match. Both are away matches. The club will also face Duduza Cricket Club in a Sunday President’s League match, at home, at the Germiston City Sports Club.
