Lots of action at boxing tournament

Boxing academy hosts successful tournament.

The Primrose Open Boxing Academy hosted a boxing tournament, last Saturday, where all amateur boxing clubs in the Ekurhuleni district were invited to attend.

Boxer Brandon Thysse attended the event to show his support for the amateur boxers.

Young boxers from the Primrose Open Boxing Academy who held the club’s name up high are Nkosi Khumalo, Muzi Khanye and Kiaan Schoeman.

Their coach Hansie Schoeman was extremely proud of them.

Schoeman won his fight with a split points decision in the 28kg division, Khumalo unfortunately lost his fight in the first round and Khanye won his fight in the first round with a RFC (referee stops contest) in the 65kg division.
