Strength put to the test

Werner Neveling recently competed in a tough strength and endurance competition.

Local high school maths teacher and Symhurst resident, Werner Neveling, has been testing his strength out in the field again.

He recently competed in the Highveld Rebelist Strength and Endurance Course 2017 which took place in Standerton.

The event categories included running, monkey bars, tyre pull, deadball run, cargo net crawl, tyre runs and pulling a Toyota Fortuner and was sponsored by USN and the Standerton Highveld Festival.

Symhurst resident Werner Neveling tackles the monkey bars.

Neveling did extremely well placing second with a first time of 1:33:75 and a second time of 1:28:41.

He missed first place by only 1.5 seconds.

The event was organised by Ivann van Wyk.
