MMA athletes head for EWC

Thunder MMA will be represented at the Extreme Warriors Championship (EWC).

Thunder MMA club members Kobus and Benjamin Pelser and Emmanuel Edoan are in full training mode preparing for the Extreme Warriors Championship (EWC).

The championship will be held at Wild Waters in Boksburg on Saturday.

Kobus has two fights and two wins behind his name and hopes to bag a third at Saturday’s event.

Benjamin will be fighting for the second time and also hopes to make it a second win.

Emmanuel will make his debut and is training hard to make it a good one.

Although other club members will not be fighting at the tournament, they will show their support and take part in fun grappling sessions on the morning of the tournament.

In other news, the Elsburg club now offers children’s classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 6pm.

Children from the ages of two are welcome to attend.

More members are also welcome to join the club which holds practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm until 8pm, with private classes being held on weekends on appointment.

People interested in joining are welcome to go to the club or get in contact through Twitter using their handle @THUNDERMMA1.

The club is situated at 45 Parnell Road in Elsburg.
