One win, one loss for Luso

Luso Africa Football Club’s first and second sides faced Olympia Football Club in their respective ELFA Super League matches.

Luso Africa Football Club’s First team faced Olympia Football Club in their ELFA Super League fixture held at Hattingh Park, last Saturday.

The game was evenly contested with neither team creating any real chances in the first half.

Both teams battled to keep possession and take control of the game.

The score remained 0-0 as they went into half-time and neither team would have been overly satisfied with their performance.

The second half saw much of the same with Luso failing to play to their strengths and unable to create any real chances for themselves.

As a result, Olympia pressed a bit more and scored their first goal halfway through the second half.

The local side failed to respond and lost the game 1-0.

The second team did much better and fought hard in a physical game.

They also faced Olympia in a home game which was played before the First team’s match.

The local boys were rewarded with a goal by Nuno de Sousa midway through the first half.

A couple more chances were created but not taken. Overall, Luso looked comfortable going into half-time.

Although Luso maintained control of the game, Olympia equalised with their first real chance in the second half.

Luso kept their nerves and Michael Lume scored the winning goal.

The game ended with a 2-1 score in favour of Luso.
