The Elsburg Rugby Club is elated after lifting the Kestrel League trophy on Saturday.
The team took on Eden Park Rugby Club in the final at Barnard Stadium in Kempton Park, walking away with a 33-27 victory.
It was not an easy match as Eden Park made good tackles forcing Elsburg to fight hard for their win. However, Elsburg continued pushing hard and their persistence was well rewarded.

The local side’s try scorers were Samuel Coetzer, Pierre Bezuidenhout, Damian Diedericks and Rudie Wessels.
Wessels also converted two tries and kicked three penalties.
