Mutero shines at bodybuilding competition

Local bodybuilder takes part in prestigious competition.

Bright Mutero from Unique Physique, located in Primrose, recently competed in the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding) Muscle Mulisha Grand Prix.

Mutero is new to the sport of bodybuilding and has made excellent progress over the past year according to his trainer, Marius Wessels.

At the competition he entered the classic bodybuilding over 1.65m and under 95kg division.

In this division emphasis is placed on muscle balance, definition and the overall condition of the contestant.

“As this was the first time he had entered this event, he did extremely well after going through pre-judging in the morning, and competing in the final show in the afternoon,” said Wessels.

“Mutero placed a well deserved sixth.”

Wessels added that Mutero is a very motivated and driven individual who pushes himself exceptionally hard, in and outside of the gym.

“Competition diets are brutal and he did well to assure himself a champion’s physique on stage,” said Wessels.

Wessels is looking forward to more from the athlete.
