Goals galore for Luso Africa

Luso Africa Football Club had a victorious weekend winning four of their six games.

Luso Africa Football Club’s first team hammered Corinthians Football Club during their match held at Hattingh Park, last Saturday.

The Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League fixture ended with an 11-1 score in favour of Luso.

Luso started the game very well but missed several chances and were punished when Corinthians scored the first goal.

Then Luso’s Fulvio Pereira scored a magnificent equaliser with a strike from outside the box.

Luso continued to dominate the game which was well rewarded with two more goals from Yannick Beyouma giving Luso a 3-1 lead through to half-time.

The local team continued their dominance in the second half which was well complemented by the goalkeeper, Paul Raposa, who made a few good saves ensuring no more goals came from Corinthians.

Luso extended their lead when Leandro De Abreu scored a hat-trick and Jonathan Spiers scored two more goals.

The game continued being a one-sided affair with Marco Da Graca and Chagan Kruger being Luso’s other goal scorers.

Corinthians battled to get past Luso’s defence and didn’t score more goals beyond their one goal, allowing Luso to walk away with the victory.

Luso’s second side also played against Corinthians and beat the visiting team 6-1.

Once again, Luso dominated the fixture from start to finish.

Luso’s Taiwo Akiode opened up the goal scoring, followed by Devon Thompson who scored Luso’s second goal with a penalty kick.

The scoreboard remained the same until half-time.

Luso’s Nuno De Sousa scored two more goals early in the second half followed by another goal minutes later, securing his hat-trick.

Dylan Fray scored the local side’s sixth goal before Corinthians’ late consolation goal before the end of the fixture.
