The club continued to apply the pressure to a struggling Corinthians side with Germiston captain Xulu Mduduzi unleashing a thunderous shot which narrowly missed the Corinthians upright.
Responding to the pressure, Corinthians picked up their game and were able to score the first goal of the match, with the help of a handling error by Germiston goalkeeper Mkhwanaazi Mathandeni, going into half-time.
The second half began as the first half had as Germiston, with three half-time substitutions, continued to apply the pressure to the Corinthians defence.
However, the home sideās wayward shooting at goal seldom troubled the visiting goalkeeper.

With full time approaching, the club was delighted when a Corinthians defenderās outstretched leg managed to put the ball over the goalkeeper and into his own net.
Pushing hard, and with only seconds on the clock, Germiston pressed for a last gasp goal, which came via a powerful shot by Theboho Muso, bringing the score to 3-2 in favour of Germiston.
