Drift fans are invited to attend championships

Smoke frenzy set to delight drift fans at The Rock Raceway.

Drift fans will be in for a treat as the fifth round of the South African Drift Championships gets underway at The Rock Raceway, in Brakpan, on June 3.

The familiar sight of the drifters smoking up their tyres is guaranteed to send the crowds into a state of jubilation as they cheer on their favourite drifter.

Local favourite, Denis Palm, will also be among the crowd favourites in action.

Drifters will surely dazzle the crowds with their fancy footwork and sideways antics in their high speed chariots.

“Supporters are encouraged to fill the stands to cheer on their sideways heroes,” said Abie Sada, marketing manager and commentator of The Rock Raceway.

“The judges’ skilful circuit layout will test the skill levels of all the drifters as they chase for the ultimate prize at victory lane.”

Gates will open at 10am with practice sessions for drifters commencing at 4pm.

Entry fees vary for children and adults.
