Gruelling match for Elsburg

Elsburg Rugby Club faced Vanderbijlpark Rugby Club in a tough match on Saturday.

It was a close match for the Elsburg Rugby Club and Vanderbijlpark Rugby Club on Saturday, at the Elspark Sports Grounds.

The teams gave each other a tough time from the beginning and right throughout the entire match.

The supporters were, literally, kept on their feet as one minute Vanderbijlpark was leading and the next Elsburg was.

The interchanging leads were not by big margins which also saw the game go into half-time with a 13-12 score in favour of Vanderbijlpark.

Elsburg went into the second half refusing to lose on home ground and they won 21-20.

The local team’s try scorers were Juan Barnardt and Pierre Bezuidenhout.

Elsburg’s next game is away against the East Rand Police Rugby Club, on Saturday.
