Good placing for fitness athlete

Lyall Bluett has returned triumphant from the USA (GCN, February 10).

Bluett, who trains at Unique Physique in Primrose, recently competed in the NPC National Bodybuilding Championships in Florida, in the USA.

He entered the men’s fitness division.

“It’s a very popular division and as such many athletes enter, making the competition fierce,” said Marius Wessels, Bluett’s coach.

“He stood on stage with 30 top athletes, pre-judging was done in the morning and he did very well, going through to the main event and finals in the evening.

“Bluett placed fifth in his division, an excellent result for not only his first international but also first competition ever.”

Wessels and Bluett put everything they had into his preparation and training leading up to the prestigious event.

“Well done,” said Wessels.

“As his coach I am looking forward to bigger and better achievements from this excellent competitor and we are excited about future events and competitions.”
