Luso Africa prepare for the Super League

Weekly results and fixtures for Luso Africa FC’s teams.

After a rainy week put a halt to several of Luso Africa FC’s matches the club was in full swing this week.

Saturday saw Luso Africa FC’s first and reserve senior teams tackling Sporting Football Club in a friendly match in preparation for the Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League.

The matches, played at Sporting’s home grounds, were the last before the Super League kicks off this weekend.

Luso’s first team lost their match 2-1 with Nathan Nel scoring the club’s only goal, while the reserve side dominated their match 5-1.

Fernando Da Rocha, Mike Lume, Milosh Domazet and Taiwo Akiode scored the side’s five goals.

Other results:

It was difficult match, with neither side wanting to give an inch during normal time.

The loss, however, means that the team has been knocked out of the league.

This week the Super League officially gets underway with Luso’s senior sides taking on Edenvale Football Club, at JP Bezuidenhout Sports Grounds in Edenvale, on Saturday afternoon.
