Young soccer players are chiefs for a day

The u-15 football players from Puma Rangers FC had a surprise outing on Saturday.

The Puma Rangers FC u-15 division was afforded a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on Saturday when they went on an exclusive tour of the Kaizer Chiefs Village, in Naturena.

The visit was a reward for the boys’ dedication and commitment.

“We liaised with Kaizer Chiefs FC’s management in order to surprise the players and afford them a visit to the Kaizer Chiefs Village,” said chairman of the club, Prince Rulashe.

“The excitement on their faces was priceless when we arrived at the venue.

“The purpose of the tour was simply to show our boys that dreams do come true if you stay committed and passionate.”

The lads got to view the top-notch facilities at the village, including a state-of-the-art gym, learned about the history of the club and also saw all the club’s trophies.

“The boys were also very fortunate to meet a football legend, retired goalkeeper Brian ‘Spiderman’ Baloyi, who gave them a few words of encouragement,” said Rulashe.

They enjoyed watching the Kaizer Chiefs development team in training which was very motivational and also engaged with another football legend, Ryder Mofokeng.

“We thank the Kaizer Chiefs FC management for affording us this opportunity,” said Rulashe.

Puma Rangers FC is looking for sponsorship and funding from the private sector and government to assist the club in making more great initiatives of this nature a reality.
