The Junior Rugby League continued on Saturday, with the Elsburg Eagles Rugby Club travelling to Hoërskool Brandwag, in Benoni, for their next set of matches.
The club’s teams took on sidess from Benoni, Brakpan, Springs, Heidelberg and Delmas.
The Eagles, unfortunately, lost most of the weekend’s matches, with only the u-9s winning their match against Kempton Park.
“We once again complement our players, win or lose they showed awesome team spirit and never gave up.
“They played their hearts out and are improving week by week,” said Tyron Smuts, club chairman.
The results of the day:

Game 1: lost 0-7 against Springs.
Game 2: lost 2-5 against Brakpan.
- U-8
Game 1: lost 0-5 against Brakpan.
Game 2: lost 1-4 against Benoni.
- U-9
Game 1: won 7-5 against Kempton Park.
Game 2: lost 0-19 against Delmas.
- U-10
No league match scheduled.
- U-11
League match: lost 5-10 against Suikerbosrand.
- U-12
Sevens match: lost 7-34 against Brakpan.
- U-13
No league match scheduled.
- U-15
Match was cancelled.
The club next travels to Springs, on Saturday.
