Saturday’s Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League match, between Germiston City Football Club and Corinthians FC, ended in a goalless draw.
The match, played on Germiston’s home ground, the Delville Sports Club, was a slow-paced affair, with a number of chances being missed by both teams.
Action in all the matches seemed to be limited to mid-field, with neither side being able to beat back the defence and take a shot at goal.
Any attempt at goal which did not soar over the cross-bar was quickly dealt with by the Germiston and Corinthians goalkeepers.
The home side’s reserve team was, unfortunately, defeated 1-0 in their match against the Corinthians FC’s seconds.
The side will travel to Edenvale, to take on Edenvale FC, on Saturday.
