Elsburg narrowly defeat police

Elsburg Rugby Club continued their Kestrel League campaign with a win against the East Rand Police.

Elsburg Rugby Club faced East Rand Police, in their Kestrel League match, on Saturday.

The teams met on Elsburg’s home ground, the Elspark Sports Grounds, with the home side walking away as winners after a hard-fought match.

The full-time score was Elsburg 19, East Rand Police 15.

The try-scorers for Elsburg were Juan Barnardt, Kieren Campbell and Werner van Wyk.

Elsburg take on Vanderbijlpark Rugby Club in a home game, this Saturday (July 16), at 4pm.

The match will be played after the club’s junior team’s rugby festival.
