Germiston Callies host time trials

Germiston Callies Harriers hosted their weekly time trials last Tuesday.

The popular time trials started in January and are held outside the Germiston Stadium’s main gate, in Delville Road North, with 4km and 8km distances offered.

This week only a few athletes took part in the time trials, which were held after the Easter weekend.

Some of the times recorded in the 4km run were:

•  Mandla Tatana with a time of 17 minutes and 59 seconds.
•  Jeanne Wilters with a time of 20 minutes and 35 seconds.
•  Tarryn Herbst with a time of 20 minutes and 57 seconds.
•  Carolina Jacobs with a time of 22 minutes and three seconds.
•  Gerhard Herbst with a time of 23 minutes and 11 seconds.
•  Lindy Buthelezi with a time of 30 minutes and 41 seconds.

Some of the times recorded in the 8km run were:

•  Philip Lesufi with a time of 38 minutes and 40 seconds.
•  John Nyansanga with a time of 39 minutes and six seconds.
