Rock Raceway hosts drift championships

Enjoy an adrenaline packed weekend at the Rock Raceway.

The second round of the Cambees Midas SA Drift Championships is set to take place at the Rock Raceway circuit in Brakpan on April 9.

The drift masters will take to the track in an effort to impress the judges with their style, flair and sideways antics without losing the drift.

Drifters from all over South Africa as well as from Mozambique are expected to make their way to the circuit to take on this round of the championships.

Patrons can make their way to the circuit from 10am when the gates open and witness a whole day’s practice session before the main event begins at 4pm.

There is an entrance fee at the gate.

On Sunday, April 10, the public can take part in the Bandit Street 2 Strip Drags Sunday Night event.

The gates open at 2pm and racing starts at 4pm.

Bring your daily drive along and enjoy street drags in a safe environment.

Sound Off fans Bass Triggers will also be on hand as they test the beat boxes of various chariots.

So if you think you have what it takes to have the highest DB readings, then bring your daily drive along and enter the Sound Off competition.

There will also be a Dyno Day for the petrolheads who want to test their HP output at a fee.
