Local athlete receives outstanding swimming achievements

Nadia Calore walked away with a top 10 finish in all her swimming events.

After four weekends of intense competition, Germiston resident, Nadia Calore (14) has achieved her goal to swim at this year’s Swim South Africa level one regionals, which takes place from the April 1 to 3, at the Delville Swimming Pool.

Nadia is a Grade Nine pupil at Jeppe High School for Girls.

She competed for the last time before the regionals, this past weekend at the Central Gauteng Aquatics level one, year end gala held at Ellis Park.

Nadia walked away with a top 10 finish in all eight events in which she participated.

She received a silver and bronze medal for two of the events and she also set two personal best times in the 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

Jeppe High School for Girls congratulates Nadia on this outstanding achievement and wishes her all the best for the regionals in April.
