Enjoy a big weekend of racing

Germiston’s JP Taljaard will be racing at the Rock Raceway, this weekend.

Motorsport fans will be delighted when the next round of tar oval track racing kicks off at the renowned Rock Raceway, in Brakpan, on February 6.

All the oval drivers, in various categories, will take to the circuit to give spectators a showdown of high-speed, adrenaline-filled action, as they all charge towards the finish line for the ultimate podium spots up for grabs.

The 400m oval circuit will feature all the favourite entertainers.

If you thrive on adrenaline then this will be one event you do not want to miss; Rotary fans and V8 fans are in for a treat.

The V8 Outlaw Sprints will smoke tyres to the finish line in a high-speed chase for the podium spot.

Germiston racing driver JP Taljaard will be in action in his V8 Outlaw Sprint Car.

Rotary fans will also see the Super Midgets do battle trackside.

Other favourite categories will include Kids In Racing SA Ninja Class ages six to 12 years, 100cc Micro Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, Formula 2 Midgets, 1600 Stock Rods, 1660 Modified Saloons, V8 Lexus Class, 2.1 L Pinto Class, 2.1 L Modified Saloons, Super Saloons and Formula N Circuit Racing.

So come and support your favourite racing drivers.

There is an entry fee for spectators.

On Sunday, February 7, the first round of the SA4KC (SA 4 Stroke Karting Club) series kicks off at The Rock Raceway.

If you own a four-stroke 200 for juniors or a 400 for older age groups, then this event is for you.

Documentation starts 7am and events start from 8am and continue until 1pm.

Free entry for spectators.
