Don’t miss the Super Fives League in February

The Easterns Eagles Super Fives League is set to take place from February.

Super Fives Hockey will host the Easterns Eagles Super Fives League from February 13 to March 20.

The league will take place at the Eastern Gauteng Hockey Association Astro, in Benoni.

Among those to be featured are teams from schools, companies and sports people in the East Rand region.

Super Fives Hockey is the latest format that has been introduced by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) to create a shortened version of the game that aligns with other international sporting codes like cricket (T20), rugby (sevens), and soccer (fives).

The league is operated locally by former South African national players Lloyd Norris-Jones and Steve Evans.

The inaugural league will cater for u-13 to u-19 players, with seniors and masters leagues to follow soon.

Easterns Eagles will host an open day on February 6 from 11.30am to 2.30pm at the Eastern Gauteng Hockey Association Astro.

Enter as a team or as an individual.
