Hard work pays off for Aden

St Catherine's pupil excels in karate.

Aden Jansen, a pupil at St Catherine’s School, participated in the Ekurhuleni Karate Association District Trials for 2016.

This was Aden’s first competition at this level and he did extremely well, managinged to fight his way to a silver medal.

He has, therefore, been selected to represent Ekurhuleni (formerly Eastern Gauteng) at the Gauteng Provincial trials, in February 2016.

This will result in official Ekurhuleni colours approved by the Ekurhuleni Sports Council.

Aden works extremely hard and trains for about five hours a week.

His hard work and dedication is paying off and he is now working towards the next step of competing for his full Gauteng Provincial colours.
