It’s the battle of the big guns, as the hotfoot brigade take to the 400m oval circuit at The Rock Raceway, in Brakpan, on November 14.
“If you thrive on adrenaline this will be one event you do not want to miss; rotary and V8 fans are in for a treat,” said Abie Sada, marketing manager and commentator at The Rock Raceway.
“The V8 Ultimate Sprints, from Vereeniging, will take on the V8 Outlaw Sprints from The Rock in a dual battle, bringing you all the high speed action not to be missed.”
Germiston drift fans can also expect to see local drifter JP Taljaard at The Rock.
“Other favourite categories will include 100cc Micro Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, 1660 Modified Saloons, Super Midgets and V8 Super Saloons,” explained Sada.
“Rotary fans will also be in for a double treat, as Boksburg Hotrod driver Brenden James celebrates his 16th birthday and has invited all his fellow Hotrods drivers to come and race against him.
“The Super Midgets Rotary group will also be taking on the piston-powered Super Midgets in a heads-up battle for podium spots.
“Come and support your favourite racing drivers.”
Entry fees vary for children and adults and refreshments will be on sale at the circuit.
Embankment parking will be charged per vehicle.
