Tournament unites staff members

Adcock Ingram netball and soccer tournament a success.

Primrose Sports Club hosted Adcock Ingram’s fun day on Saturday.

“We have staff members from our different plants; Wadeville, Midrand, Aeroton and Clayville,” said Adcock Ingram’s Lindiwe Linda.

“This is our first netball and soccer tournament and, among other things, the aim of this day is for us to get to know each other and mingle.

“There is a netball and soccer team for each plant, it is just unfortunate that some of the teams couldn’t make it due to the weather.

“We persevered with the teams present because we wanted to save the day and initiate the friendship.”

Due to the heavily wet grass and shortage of teams, netball was the sport played.

“We will have another tournament where we have everybody present and joining in the fun,” explained Linda.

“The tournament received great response and therefore we might host one every two months.”

“Although the weather disappointed us a bit, we still had lots of fun,” said Adcock Ingram Critical Care’s Sebastian Ryan .

“This tournament is aimed at uniting the employees of Adcock Ingram and it did just that today.

“Today’s success has led to talks of making this event an annual event.”
