Greatness at local karate club

Karatekas make club proud and scooped seven medals.

Dinwiddie’s Nippon Dojo Shotokan Karate Club has had great achievements recently.

Three karatekas from the club, kata and kumite medalists from previous championships, were selected to represent South Africa at the 17th FSKA World Championships held at the Walter Sisulu Hall, in Randburg, from August 27 to 30.

The championships were organised by the Funakoshi Shotokan Association.

Nadia Calore, Tyron Harmse and Connor Trollip, from the local club, scooped seven medals at the championship.
