New improvements at local tennis club

Growing from strength to strength.

The Dinwiddie Tennis Club continues to grow from strength to strength since its first lesson was held in January (GCN, February 6).

“I am happy to say that the club has received support from the community and the interest in the sport is rather encouraging,” said coach Nthato Morakabi.

“The most recent update is that we now have two practise sessions on Saturdays.

“The first session, aimed at children between the ages of five and 12, runs from 10.30am to 11.30am, with the second session following from 11.30am until 12.30pm, for those aged 13 years and above.”

Morakabi added that the club will welcome anyone interested in joining.

“We encourage more people to come along and join in this sport,” he said.

“We practise at the Dinwiddie Sports Club, on the corner of Ingleton Road and Cheam Crescent, Dinwiddie.

“Private lessons can also be arranged and anyone is more than welcome to play social tennis from 2pm.”
