Local tennis club’s annual tournament a success
Youngsters have a blast at ETSOE junior tournament.
The Ekurhuleni Tennis School of Excellence (ETSOE) held its annual Junior Doubles Tennis Tournament on November 29, at the Germiston Stadium tennis courts.
People from different parts of the country took part in the tournament, including club members.
The u-14 doubles event was won by Sethembile Myeni and Tadiwanashe Chipfakacha, and the u-10 doubles by Tobi Mosweu and Damaris Mugumbate.
“I would like to thank everybody who participated in the tournament for making it a success; everyone played their best,” said the club’s head coach, Loyiso Matsha.
In other news, ETSOE will host a Tennis Coaching Clinic on December 15 and 16, at the Germiston Stadium tennis courts.
All children, including beginners, are welcome to participate.
Topics on which the clinic will focus are scoring, rules of tennis and tennis etiquette, among others.
