Lambton's athlete takes on the Ekurhuleni 5150 African Championships.

Lambton’s Jayne Shunn took part in the Ekurhuleni 5150 African Championships, at the Germiston Lake, on November 2.

“The race was nice and well-organised,” said Shunn.

Although Shunn battled with the 10km run, she managed to finish the race in second place in the women’s 55 to 59 category.

“I enjoyed the race; the run was a bit difficult for me, however, I am glad I finished the race and did so in three hours and six minutes,” she said.

Shunn added that she also took part in last year’s edition of the Ekurhuleni 5150 African Championship and that she also takes part in sprint triathlons and other events.
