Germiston Lake was abuzz with excitement on Sunday, as athletes showed off their prowess.
Two-hundred-and-six competitors competed in the second of three events at Germiston Lake, in the Trinity Sports Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon Series.
This series is a great way to start competing in multi-sport events or for people to begin their triathlon or duathlon season.
Sunday’s event saw athletes in the sprint division competing in a 750m swim, a 20km cycle and a 5km run.
Those in the mini triathlon (aged 12-plus) completed a 400m swim, a 10km cycle and a 1.25km run.
Children also had a great time and got to take part in the young kids’ triathlon (aged eight to 11).
